of the Month
(June 2010)
During
June, July, and August, the Brookridge Estates Garden Club picks
a home with an outstanding front yard, awards a prize of $25,
and places a "Yard of the Month" sign in the winner's
beautiful yard.
Although
$25 might only buy one or two small plants these days, at least
homeowner's efforts are recognized and appreciated by the community.
The
Yard of the Month for June 2010 has been awarded to
Mark and Robin Sommerer, 9914 Floyd Street.
A photo of the Sommerer's yard will be posted here shortly.
Holiday
Yard Winners (2009)
The
Brookridge Estates Garden Club was responsible for selecting the
three Holiday Yard Winners this year.
The winners are:
First
Place - 7833 West 100th Street (Nutcracker) - William & Melanie
Conrick
Second
Place - 9901 Foster - Greg & Linda Streit
Third
Place - 7708 West 98th Terrace - Tracy and Cindy Nelson.
(There was a mix up due to an error in the directory about street
addresses. We posted the winner as Christer and Megan Hanson,
but they live at 7808 W 98th Terrace rather than 7708 W 98th Terrace
as listed in the directory.)

board thought that a special "honorable mention" should
go to Terry Muskoph and Scarlett Roper,

Yard of the Month for June 2009 has been awarded to Jim
and Barb Novak, 7210 W. 100th Place.
